Votes are cast by unit, with optional unit-weighted tallies so larger stakes count proportionally alongside the standard one-unit-one-vote count. Residents participate from in-wall panels, tablets, mobile devices, the web interface, or simply by talking to Miri, the AI concierge. The result is higher turnout, defensible outcomes, and a durable record of every unit’s response.
For staff, the system is built for control and confidence. Polls support two formats: multiple choice (single- or multi-answer, with server-enforced caps and distinctness) and linear scale ratings with configurable min and max. Audiences can be directed to all units, a specific floor, an elevator line, or a hand-picked list of units, and every poll runs on a scheduled window that moves through draft, in course, and finished states. Each unit’s vote is locked in once submitted: the backend holds a per-poll lock and re-checks prior answers inside a transaction, eliminating race conditions and double-counting. Ballots are multilingual — title, description, and every choice are stored per locale, so each resident reads the poll in their own language while answer indices stay consistent across translations. Anyone can ask Miri to read open polls aloud and cast their unit’s vote in natural language; the same eligibility, locking, and one-vote-per-unit rules apply.
